I thought the holes varied. Short and long and in between. The signature hole is a great view with the tee shot over the water and quarry. Some holes adjacent to the river. Some holes have severely sloped greens. With par of 70, 69 or below is easier to get to. Breaking 80 is also easier to get to. 3 5's and 5 3's.

Many pictures of Ryder Cup events and players. Nice pro shop area, but hard to get to the main golf desk (hidden).

Shoots in the 80s

Pretty standard country club fare. Well maintained, fairly generous fairways, a good layout with no gimmicks (well, maybe one). Condition is usually good, not great, with no real frills. A couple of challenging long par 3''s, which I like. Only downside - many of the par 4''s look the same - driving across a valley, with your tee shot always landing on an upslope (especially on the back 9). The one gimmick is on the back, the 16th hole (I think), where you hit your tee shot over the quarry for which the course is named. It''s a good long poke to carry it from the tips. Don''t try it unless you carry it an honest 240.

Clubhouse has some great memorabilia. Someone here must have been associated with US Ryder Cup teams, as there is a ton of autographed Ryder Cup stuff - very cool.
