Shoot in the 90s
Course condition is superlative due to the recent hosting of the NCAA Mens Championship; however it is always beautifully maintained. The traditional layout and maturity of this course are excellent without hokey and "tricked up" holes. Firm and fast greens are challenging. Customer Service Very welcoming but very professional. Adhered to tee times and promoted pace of play. Similar Products Used: Adjoining hotel has great food ad drinks. Pro-shop and practice facilities are first rate. |

Shoot in the 90s
It's really a treat to have this course right down the street from where I live. It's extemely challenging for a player like myself who has moments of greatness interspersed with catastrophe. I shoot in the nineties, generally, but this course put a damper on that until I got used to it. I think I lost a dozen balls that first time I played it, whereas now I only lose a small fraction of that. This is because the course is carved out of thick woods and anything hit out of play is lost in the dense forest. Of course, this is a good thing as walking 18 takes you through a vast array of fauna and landscaping. Even in late winter, early spring the course is generally playable, even if the greens are a little sandy. In season the greens are very good, as are the tees. The appearance of traps leaves a bit to be desired on some holes, but placement and quantity are very well executed - like I said, not much room for error on any hole. Overall a great course designed for serious golfers and patient intermediates. Customer Service Tee times strictly kept by starter. Well done. Similar Products Used: None |
