Chicora is a very nice layout...short and long par 4's. What brings me back is the signature par 5 #13. #13 is a work of art. The elevated tee box, guarded on each side by trees, gains respect. On the right side is a green cliff wall, which slingshots your drive to the center of the fairway. With a 280 to 300 yd drive, you are faced with a blind 190 to 210 yard shot to the pin.
My only dislike of the course is the driving range. The range is only long enough for your scoring irons...I like not to take swing problems home, so if the problem is the woods or long irons you must take it somewhere else.
