Nice Course. First few holes are nice then 6-9 put you asleep, but the back nine is interesting and worth it. Customer Service People down home & nice |

One of my Top Five courses to play on a golf trip. As others have noted, built on an old quarry with lots of hills, mounds, and elevations. Every hole is different. No blind shots. Lots of trees, but the woods can be played out of. Played 36 holes on 5/30. Excellent condition. Not in a housing development. They allow six pack coolers. Customer Service Helpful yet unobtrusive staff. |

This is a fun layout, I like the island green. I think it's #11. The staff really takes good care of you. A must play if your in the area. Customer Service Great |

Just played this last week and was not disappointed. This is one of my favorite courses in the area, especially for the price right now...around $40. I have paid as high as $90 to play it, but I'm not sure it's worth that much. Similar Products Used: None |

Loved this course. Stunning views in a couple of spots. If you spray the ball, you will be suicidal after the round, but if you can keep it under control, you will enjoy the layout a lot. The greens were nice (pretty quick) and not that hard to read. I was pretty nervous about playing at The Pit based on reputation, but I found it rather playable!! Of the 4 courses we played, The Pit and Tobacco Road were my favorites. Customer Service no contact Similar Products Used: pro shop was okay, friendly people. |

Our group loved this course. It's been around a while, but it's a joy to play. There is a lot of challenge to the course and it is visually very interesting. I stop short of saying beautiful as it was built in a massive sand mine area that seems to still be operating. The whole course is a series of sand piles and pits and holes and valleys and such. It is one of the most interesting courses in the Pinehurst area. The playable areas are very manicured, but this does not have that "country club" appearance. It's more like golf on a moto-cross track. Don't get the impression I am saying anything negative about it because it is a great track all around and very playable.
