Nice, Nice Course.
This is just a wonderful course for being within the city of schenectady. The course has plenty of trees, plenty of wildlife and plenty of hazards to avoid. A few dogleggs and a few trees obsecure the green causing you to have to play smart golf.
This is not one of those courses you hit it straight 2 times and then put, you have spots to lay up and spots to drive the green.
The back nine I found to be brutal, it went par 4, 4, 5,3,5,3,5,3 and 4.
Going back and forth from 5's to 3's was just killer and sent me to double bogey land (mostly due to the 480 yard plus on par 5's)
Highly recommend this course.

The greens are the challenge on this course. Fairly large, but not so easy to read. Always fun.

The tee boxes take a beating over the course of the season, but have improved a ton over the last 5 years.

Since I was 13 years old I’ve played Schenectady Muni. Now I’m 31, and have played dozens of courses, from Daytona Beach to Lake Placid to Crumpin Fox in Massachusetts. I have to say that for the pure sport of golf, this course is one of the finest. The fairways and greens are always is superb condition. The rough is tough but fair. Most of the holes are challenging but rewarding when you score well. After 18 holes on this course you can’t wait to go back out and challenge it again.

The food in the restaurant is great. The pro-shop is very small and the range is only irons. The clubhouse is in need of a facelift.
