Shoots in the 90s

I played this course in early September 2010. Great views, particularly from the 1st tee (up-river Hudson Valley), 9th green (West Point and H. Valley), and 10th tee (WP and HV). Tough course for a high-handicapper like me, due to several narrow fairways, hard-baked real estate making for some tricky approaches, slopes all over the place, and undulating & saucer-size greens. Having said that, it was great to be tested in that manner and the two pars and one birdie were that much more rewarding as a result. Found the back nine to be more fun than the 'mountainous' front nine, probably because of two par 3s where water comes into play. Overall, a little pricey, but probably worth a couple of trips per season. Look forward to playing it again in the fall, when the fairways should be a little softer. Bring a couple of sleeves of extra balls and no drivers allowed on the handy 'hill top' practice range.

Customer Service

Very friendly young staff doing a first-rate job.

None - this course is pretty unique and one of the hardest I have played.

Shoots in the 80s

Challenging course that delivers astonishing views of the Hudson River looking across to beautiful West Point. Especially nice in fall. Many elevation changes and rolling fairways. Can be very difficult at time because rarely to you get a flat lie in all the fairways. Length is appropriate from the whites. This is a shot makers course. Great for any level but can be very punishing to beginner golfers. Stay straight and you'll be fine; the rough can be treacherous!
