This course demands the golfer to hit the ball straight and accurately. The fairways are narrow but forgiving. The demand for a good wedge game is present here in order to score.

The greens on the old holes are just as good as any course in the capital district and beyond. The new 9 greens need alot of help. They are firm and have quite a bit of low spots on them. Although they are working to correct that problem. They built numerous new tees to add length but they need to be leveled and topdressed. Also they are working on that too. In about 5 years or so this course may be a hell of a track.

The golf course has spectacular views of the Catskill Mountains. The 7th blue tee offers a commanding view of the whole course.
