the course is nicen challenging, well kept. the pace moves well on the course. the driving range is small and utilizes plastic or fake golf balls which you dont get true distance on. No Customer service service skills (Donna from the office)

customoer service SUCKS!!! the guy who works there named Donna is RUDE and NASTY!!!! I wont be returning to this course just because of her. I wont be recommending this course either. When making my reservations she was rude and out of place and made unecessary comments and was not helpful in anyway. While golfing I lost my token to exit the golf course, so I went to the office to explain my situation and once again she rudely spoke to me and made unnecessary comments instead of just offering her assistance and helping me.

This is one of the two courses where I learned the game 25 years ago. This version, with its nine holes, is very playable, and not as quirky as the original executive 18 holer, or the subsequent 9 hole course. It's a great place to learn the game, with the putting and chipping greens. I am not a fan of the Cayman ball range, but eventually it will be replaced when the filtration plant is finished - in my lifetime I hope. It is also a deceptively challenging course for more experienced golfers, with several tees and green approaches pinched in by trees, and several uphill landing areas making drives shorter than expected. The greens are very good, with nice, challenging contours. The entire course is fairly well maintained, and when the conditions are right - just me, a couple of new playing companions, and not too many players on the course - it is a pretty well paced, enjoyable round.

This is a great little course for the beginner, and the cheapest place to play in the city. It's also the most easily accesible by subway. Features a driving range as well as a pitching and putting green, and generally on the weekdays it is not too busy. Plus the twilight starts at 3 p.m., so it's easy to get in a bunch of golf for dirt cheap. I was also suprised how well-maintained the course was. Only nine holes and it's very short, but fairly tight and a lot of fun. A great place to learn if you're new to the game.

This course is going to be torn up by NYC water filtraton plant probably in 2005. Driving range will be gone. The course is average. The lack of real maintinence is because they know the bulldozers are coming eventually. Van Cortlandt is much better experience but this place is cheap and not too crowded.

You don't have to pay for a full 18 holes.

Long wait. Especially when people are playing an 18-hole round game. Line gets really bad at times.

This is a 9 hole par 36 course. After you finish a 9-hole round, you can pay a little more to play the same 9-holes (different tee box) to get an 18-hole round game. The course isn't too bad. Actually got my first 300+ yard drive there. Pretty cool, but the course is a typical NY city course.
