Shoots in the 90s
Played on 14 September 2015. Course is in good shape and spectacular scenery. Do not understand why they have to have so many trees in the middle of the fairway and in front of the greens. The greens were in good shape but lightning fast downhill. Be wary of the GPS in the carts. I found them to be 10 to 20 yards off (sometimes short, sometimes long) from my laser range finder. Customer Service The pro shop personnel were not very friendly or helpful. You had to ask about everything; carts, driving range (short irons only), first tee. They provided no information at all about the course. There was a yardage book but you had to ask about that also. Some of the holes are pretty unique so info about them would have been nice. Overall I played pretty good. Couple of bad holes to start off with (see driving range with short irons only) but I had a couple of birdies and several pars. For a casino resort in New Mexico they could take a few lessons about customer service from Sandia, Twin Warriors or Isleta Casino golf courses. It would make a good golf course a more enjoyable experience. Similar Products Used: Sandia Golf Club

Shoots in the 80s
Took my wife to the Inn of the Mountain Gods for our anniversay. We had the charter jet package, well worth it. We played golf every day that we were there. Sometimes two rounds in one day. The course was absolutely immaculate. The greens were pretty fast and the fairways played like our greens here in Houston. This was our first time to play mountain golf and we loved it. It took some time to get used to the club selection because of the elevation. We will be going back in the fall. P.S. Don't expect to win any money at the casino. Customer Service We were treated like royalty the whole time we were at the resort. We could't help but notice the lack of play that the course got. Most people didn't tee off before 10:00 am or after 3:00 pm. Similar Products Used: None yet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

This is one of the most beautiful courses I have played. This is the definition of resort golf. Beautifully maintained from tee to hole. Greens are tiered and very fast. At $75 for fee and cart, the best value I have ever seen. The back nine is the quietest place I have ever been. #10 and #18 are very difficult water holes. The rest are very narrow with huge pine trees lining both sides. We spotted deer walking across the fairway of #7. Bring you camera, the straightest shot you have and your putter. Do yourself a favor and spend 5 minutes on the practice green to get the speed. Similar Products Used: Pricey restaraunt and bar on site. Wonderful resort hotel. Large pro shop. |
