Shoots in the 90s
Played here as a guest. Enjoyed the scenery as well as some challenging golf. Did notice too many bunkers not raked or ball marks not repaired. Did not expect that at a private course. All in all a good time. Customer Service Customer service for the member, and his guests, A+. Impressed. |

A nice club that's a bit unique for New Mexico; that is you need to hit the ball straight to score. Small greens place a premium on approach shots. Holes 9 and 18 are as good as anywhere. Number nine being recently ranked as the most difficult par-4 in New Mexico. The layout is in fantastic shape. For putting, be aware of the valley, as putts that are seemingly uphill, could be downhill. Great pro shop staff, and I the food is outstanding Customer Service Excellent Similar Products Used: Good locker room staff, excellent men's lounge. |

How did this place ever get licensed? Like most courses in New Mexico the surrounding scenery is just beautiful. But, with this course so many of the holes have the out-of-bounds markers about a foot away from private property lines. This leaves little room for error and takes away from the joy of the game - that is unless you enjoy trespassing on someone's backyard in order to retrieve your ball. A lot of their members do just that. Also, for a private country club there's an over-abundance of both really bad playing skills as well as members being aware of golf etiquette. Save your money and play a really good course such as Paako, University of N.M. south course or Santa Ana. Customer Service members do not follow general golf etiquette or rules.
