The front 9 was long but could have been a cow's pasture. It was WIDE OPEN. The back 9 was all about ball placement with a few fun par 3's. This was the first time that I had ever played this course. I found it to be fun and a little challenging for not knowing where to place your ball. You were able to recover fairly well from a bad shot but the rough was more like overgrown weeds on vacation. The greens were nice with a few challenging putting surfaces. A good round all around. Customer Service When the cart girl showed up she was nice. The gentlemen at the front office were very respectful. Similar Products Used: For the greens fees-

The Course is decent and is forgiving as it is very wide open. Most of the course is in bad shape with the exception of a few holes. The Clubhouse people always are rude and seem to be very annoyed that you are showing up. The other players also lack ettiqute and are very slow. Customer Service Very very rude. And this is the reason i will never again return. Similar Products Used: Like many other cheap courses they have an overcrowded course and not much control to keep pace moving. |

The course is not bad for what you pay and is very forgiving. Great course for beginners bc of course difficulty be very easy. Not much golf etiquite by other players, very slow play and crowded course... give yourself plenty of time to play this course. Customer Service Customer service is horrible as they almost seem annoyed that you are showing up. Very rude all around and is the reason i will never return. |

Decent holes but the rough is horrible. Greens with average stimp and contour. Nothing outstanding. Grerens needed some repair as well as the fairways. Customer Service Proshop was nothing great. Starter was unorganized and somewhat rude.

A flat boring course. Rough is horrible. Fairways weedy and unrepaired. Greens are in need of a makeover, bare spots, weeds on some. Too expensive for the quality received. Round was fairly fast with only an average crowd for a summer afternoon.
Customer Service Proshop guy was fine. Starter was rude. Ranger and attendants were nice. Similar Products Used: A dryer and slightly longer Springfield, but not kept up as nice in some respects, although, geese were not a problem here. |

I keep getting surprised by this place. It should be a farmers field type muni, but they always seem to make it a cut above that for a very reasonable fee ($27 for greens and cart after 3pm weekdays). Sure the greens are a little slow and shaggy, but there's quite a bit of interesting roll in most of them and they are in very good shape. The course is definately not overbunkered, but there are quite a few of them and they are all in good shape with fluffy sand. Yes, many wayward shots can be played easily back in the fairway, often at the green. But a number of the holes are very tight with big penalties. The fairways are not manicured country club stuff, but the ball sits up and can be played with divits taken. All in all, this should be the type of course you come away disatisfied from, but you always leave happy here. They do a great job at a non-pretencious layout. Customer Service The ownership is Afro-American as is most of the staff. But even being a WASP I have never been treated with anything but the utmost respect and kindness. A very friendly place, highly recommended. |

Let's put it this way...My first time at the club, and I was walking toward the pro shop, and there was rap/hip-hop blaring. Well, that was just the start of the bad day. The second was the poor condition of the course. The third the "reverse discrimination" I received from the other golfers on the course, and their lack of golf etiquette. Customer Service Poor at best. |

Aptly named since most of the "rough" is bare ground that is as hard as concrete. Greens are akin to "Chip and Putt" greens (i.e., small, flat, poorly maintained and entirely uninteresting). Most of the course is incredibly flat and boring. Tee boxes are less well maintained than the greens. On some of the holes, there are a fair amount of trees, so during the fall, the course is nearly impossible to play as I'm fairly certain that it's never seen a rake. Customer Service Unremarkable. Great layout. Rough around greens are tournament rough. Fairways and Greens much too long due to the drought last year but should be able to be cut in 2003. Customer Service Great customer service, very friendly and very responsive. Similar Products Used: Driving range subpar compared to other courses in area |

This course has made beautiful changes the tees are very nice and the greens also, there are some patches of dirt on and off fairways and rough. Worth going to if you are in Philly, alot nice than it was two years ago. Extremely friendly staff. SOme minor improvements could be made to the course. Not to difficult, pretty flat. Nice course though. Similar Products Used: None |
