Shoots in the 90s

The course has improved somewhat from last year. Front nine is relatively good and back nine is better than before but still #14, #15, and #17 have some bare spots that need grass. Its first come first serve so this course is best suited for singles or a twosome that just want to walk on.

Customer Service

Customer service is adequate. No issues to report.

Play was so slow I gave up after #14. No management of the course by the rangers at all. Generally not a well groomed course. I will not be returning anytime soon

Customer Service

Starter was overwrought and incompetent. Rangers were invisible.

Course was wet not well drained. Greens in need of repair, much of it due to ignorant golfers, but so is the case with many public courses. A bit hilly. Fairways were in need of repair and a mowing. Rough has not been attended to in
a long time. Fivesomes, hacker and senoir foursomes made this round 5+ hours. I finally packed it in after the 15th hole. I will not be returning if they give away a round.

Customer Service

Proshop was friendly. Starter, as stated in other reviews, needs to retire. Grounds crew? Ranger? If they are employed there they are overpayed and underworked.

Beckett, another aggrevating dump I'm not returning to, although Becket is in better shape, at least the course is.

Shoots in the 80s

Have played this course twice in last 4 years. Played last week and realized why I had not gone back. INCREDIBLY slow play. First come, First served they say, but starter is ignorant old sod who lets all the 4 balls go, then figures that 2+2=4 and lets out them out - all the while ignoring several singles. Got there at 7:00am and got out about 9am behind the 5 oriental 4 balls followed by the 5 regulars 4 balls..... to play a 6.5 hour round! The other county courses use www & phone booking - they should the old fool starter here out to pasture and adopt the same. Otherwise never play the place again. Course - it was OK but very short. Noticed hardly a single player that looked like they could break 100. The goo players seem to go elsewhere.

Customer Service

Pro shop service was good/nice

Shoot in the 80s

This is a nice little course hidden off route 1 in NJ. Its a short, tight course that isn't always in the best of shape, but it is improving in condition. Most par 4's are about 350 yards, with the par 3's around 150 and the two par 5's measuring 500 yards. All the holes are interesting, and the general hole shape is a 15 degree dogleg left. I have played this course many times over the last two years, and i would say its a good value for the low cost (only 8 $ on weekdays for residents w/ card). The course is in decent shape, greens run slow, but relatively consistent. The tees have been improved over the last few years as well. I would recommend this course to a beginner or an experienced golfer looking for a fun round.
