I certainly do not agree with the previous reviews on this course. Beautiful course, great layout, challenging in just the right places. Wide fairways and good size greens. Didn't see a single piece of geese poop all day. Fairways are a reward here, nice and lush. Course is well taken care of. I will play here many more times. Customer Service Service was helpful and efficient. Excellent job. Similar Products Used: McDonald GC in Wichita, KS

Above average short course, because the diversity in some shots gives it a challenging look. I agree with some of the other reviews that a driver is not needed here that much especially for the middle tees. I was a little taken back by the infestation of black flies on the first three tee boxes and fairways. Look like God sprinkled black pepper all over the place. I was more worried about getting bit than hitting the ball straight. Greens, Fairways and rough need manicuring, but the course have a lot of potential. This Course reminds me of another course Ron used to have called (Stoneybrook). They're still trying to bring that course back up. Even the refreshment ladie question why we came so far the play this course. If you can get a 2 for 1 deal like we did - then I recommend this course but if not (HA!) Customer Service I have to give it to the personnel, they weren't all that bad. |

The course is fun to play but is very poorly maintained, even for the price. Geese everwhere and fairways are not keept up. Greens are not bad, but the course needs work. Customer Service Very Friendly and helpful. Similar Products Used: Nice Bar. |

Deceptively short course, because it is quite hilly which gives some of the holes a long look, but in reality a driver is not needed here that much. Greens were challenging. Fairways and rough need mowing. Tee boxes are messed up. Challenging 18th hole needing a good tee shot right and a strong approach over a large waste area to below the green. As already stated the Canada dirty birds are everywhere including their presents. econd worse goose problem I've seen in Jersey next to Springfield. A drunk foursome and trio caused the round to be 5 1/2 hours long. But for the excessive greens fee we would have pulled put after the front nine. The ranger told US to hurry. After explaining the problem he moved up to make an attempt to push along the pie eyed foursome AFTER THE SEVENTEENTH HOLE! Customer Service Gutless ranger. Clubhouse people were fine. Too much money for this style course Similar Products Used: Holly Hills but slighlty and more goosey |

A fairly short course where a driver is only really needed on maybe 4 holes. Although short it is somewhat hilly. Fairways were trimmed well but in need of repair in some of the more used areas. Also, the fairway goes right into the rough with no first cut on some holes. Greens were average stimp, and not too difficult to read. Some are in need of repair due to irresponsible golfers who will not repair ballmarks. The 18th holes was also my favorite requiring a good tee shot to the right and a 3 wood over the waste area with a short iron onto the green. Geese were almost as bad here as at Springfield. Stayed behind a slow foursome for a good part of the course which made for a 5 hour round. Price with cart was a bit high for the value of the course. Water comes into play on many holes. Customer Service Nice people in the proshop. Ranger was amiable and tried to talk the slow foursome to move along or let us through. What a POS! I can't imagine they have the guts to charge for playing this geese farm. There are so many geese and so much poop that I honestly thought it a health hazard. Many of the better holes wind around low rent housing developments on the back nine, which are mostly geese free. All are short, many so short that you just leave the driver at home. Two par fours in a row that you tee off with seven iron, that's a joke. The greens were actually not too bad, but the fairways were all clover and crabgrass. No rangers! The course was played on an uncrowded weekday and we waited with three groups on a par four tee! With par fours before and after it. It was almost insulting when a ranger finally came up on 18 tee and said he'd "get right on it". Thanks buddy, too bad I forgot to tip. The $35 for 18 and cart with a softdrink and hotdog was very attractive, but I couldn't recommend the course for play at any price. Customer Service Very good. The pro shop people were very nice and the drink cart girl was very pleasant. I wish the course was up to their standards. |

This is an up and down, bach and forth kind of a course. Watch out for flying balls coming at you from the fairway next to yours. Though the yardage is kind of short, there are some tricky holes to make your day intertesting, because of the hilly terrain. There's only a couple relatively blind shots on the course, but none that will make or brake your round. In the past it was descibed as a cow pasture, but today it's kept in good condition. The greens can run fast, but they are true. My favorite hole is the par 5, 18th. Drive to the top of the hill, and then hit a 3W down hill and across the creek/pond. Then there's the elevated green protacted by the bunkers on the left side. And it is a large green with a lot of slope. Par is a real good score. The biggest problem with the course is without a doubt the amount and pace of play. I have played SIX HOUR ROUNDS! The management needs to learn to regulate the tee times better, and better utilize rangers. And a stricter dress code would be nice. I still occassionally see jeans. Customer Service OK, I guess. Rangers? What rangers? Similar Products Used: The bar is social enough. The prices are generally the same as any other mid-range course. I love the dogs on the Italian rools. |
