As my home course I may be a little biased but this is one of the best courses I have ever played. This is a 9-holes Geoffrey Cornish course with spectacular views, top-notch conditions and a setting and staff that will leave a mark on you. The course has four sets of tees, two sets for each nine. The course plays over rolling hills and is carved through large old-growth trees and original New England stone walls. The par threes are extremely difficult with severely sloped greens and long irons, these holes can make or break you. The course has been acclaimed in the area and around New England as one of the top 9-hole courses in the region. The staff is remarkable as well, a family managed course (but owned by the town of Walpole) with a charm and love for the course above no one. To top it off the pro shop has the best prices you can find (guaranteed) and a clubhouse that dates back to the 1800's. The clubhouse offers lunch and dinner, with a great menu and very reasonable prices. (I recommend the famous hamburgers) The clubhouse also serves as a bed and breakfast and has 3 rooms for rent (about $75 a night).
