Played Shell Landing on Tuesday, Feb. 21st, 2012 and feel totally ripped off. For a course that charges $100.00 green fee I expect that it not have too many blemishes. That’s a lot of money for a round of golf! They must think a lot of their course because it was horrible in relationship to that kind of green fee! For example…there were several occasions where I had to move my ball on the green to get to a place that had a consistent surface to putt on due to areas that had recently been grafted. Now I know that courses have to do that kind of maintenance from time to time but remember, the green fee is $100.00! (IMO, that alone blows the roof off the green fee.)The bunkers had mostly mud bottoms and were mostly un-kept in the fairway. Now...I must be fair and mention that we had 3 inches of rain within the last 72 hours but...OK...if your course isn't in shape to charge that kind of grn fee then discount the damn thing!! My buddy and I had to agree on how we would play any future shot that found a bunker…$100.00 green fee Huh???? There were several other things but hopefully, I’ve made my point.
I believe that Shell Landing takes advantage of the Casino guest that just want to play golf and don't do any research on the local courses. I am local and have played this course approx. 3 times over the past five years and after this past experience I will never go back. Let them take advantage of the out of town Casino golfers. Btw: I used a Gulf South PGA Pass Book that allowed me to play for $55.00. It wasn't worth that amount much less the $100. Hope this saves the golfing population some aggravation.

This course is a nice additional to the GUlf Coast courses, if a bit remote. The greens are quite challenging. It has challenges for all levels of golfers. Although wet when I played the course was in good shape excepting the traps

Customer Service

Customer service was good with friendly, helpful staff. They could use a marshall tomove play along though.
