The starter would not let me play the front nine alone started yelling at me, very slow play... Stay away from the North Suburbs!

First let me start by saying …”Don’t Map Quest this golf course!” You will get directed to the back entrance where you can not enter. Call the course or use the directions directly from the Chomonix web site. It is tricky to find otherwise. Chomonix was a total delight to play although it was busy all day with foursomes galore. The course layout was well thought and well spread out. The course has a mixture of wide open fairways, narrow fairways, dog legs right and left, as well as some long and short par 3’s. Chomonix has a little of everything for any type of golfer and should be played. The rough is even playable out of and the greens are challenging but very fair. The course is very tree filled, so if accuracy is not your game, bring an extra box of balls and I suggest mid-long irons off the tee on more than one hole. The entire course seems to slope from left to right so carefully think your club choice off the tee on several holes. The course is well maintained, clean and perfectly balanced. We saw a beverage person at least 5-6 times during our round which was a nice change of pace, especially for this weird and adventurous golf season. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly and were on the course the entire day in some way or another. This is a great course for the value and I’ll play this course many more times before the season closes out! I thank my normal golf partner for suggesting this one.

One of the best deals in town. Course is very challenging with water on half the holes. Front is tight with trees everywhere. Course is set up on beautiful land but still needs a little more work with drainage.

This course was redone a few years ago (used to be a 9 hole track). This was an upgrade. It is a fun course, however, very thick woods (bring a few balls) and it is often soggy due to being built on a bog in areas. Bring spray.

Chomonix was an overall good course. It has some nice signature holes, and is set in pretty thick woods, but their prices have been raised, but the mainenance has not. It is often very wet and there are quite a few dead spots.

Customer Service

Good, can book tee times online
