I last played this course when they had a trailer for a pro shop. It has really grown into a spectacular course. I remember it was a fairly open track. I had 7 penalty strokes on the front nine. 4 on the back nine. Shot my worst score in about 7 years, but really enjoyed the course and came off the course with a smile. Only a few of the holes were not seperated by tree lines and gave the impression you were on a private course. My group was impressed enough to rate this course a 8.5 on a 10 scale

Customer Service

Customer Comes First is the sign they have behind the counter. That said it all on the day we were there.

Sheesh! What a challenge! The front 9 will eat your golf balls if you can't hit straight. The recent care on the bunkers has made the managable. The privacy in the deep woode areas compelled me to bring my wife for a ride around the course which was enjoyable and lent a hand in my wife's understanding some great aspects of getting out for a round. The back nine is easier but still requires skill for a good score.

Customer Service

The staff on hand was genuinely friendly and made us feel at home. The outside service was exceptional and made the price of the ticket all the more worthwhile. A beverage cart wasn't operating on the mid-week days we golfed there, but a full service restaurant in the clubhouse had good burgers and cold beer. Two thumbs up!

The course is a true challenge. If you can hit straight, you'll do okay. The front 9 is deep in the woods and seems to eat golf balls. You can redeem yourself to yourself on the back. Fairways are like butter and you'll hardly notice a transition from fairway to green. Greens are true and moderately fast. Recent work on the traps is a welcomed improvement. Fees were high but the track was well kept and our game moved at a normal pace.

Customer Service

Staff was helpful and made us feel like we owned the place. Only place I ever got a cart from a buttoned guy. A ranger of some sort would be better than just a starter.

I think whittaker woods is over priced and they think they are arcadia bluffs or something. Do not recommend. Course is nice about a 7 but their attitude is terrible. May be people from chicago like being treated badly. My brother took me golfing there for my birthday it took 3.5 hours to play nine holes. We asked for our money back and they would not even give us a rain check. Thumbs down not impressed....
