Amazing golf course. Tom Doak designed one of the best courses I have ever played in Lost Dunes. The greens feature wicked undulations and sudden topographical changes. Unaccompanied groups all have to take caddies and ours was astonishingly great and a necessity on the greens. Customer Service The girl that greeted us, Sarah, was amazing and very warm in welcoming us and getting us acclimated. The pro shop was physically wonderful, however the attitude of the staff seemed to be a little wayward. Our caddy received a verbal bashing right in front of us from a shorter nazi looking gentleman with a very bad attitude. When I mentioned to the pro that demeaning our caddy in front of us before we even get a chance to shake his hand we were told that the caddies need to be "kept in line." Our caddy turned out to be a very nice gentleman and very helpful on the course. The course was wonderful, however after experiencing the attitude and demeanor of the golf staff (the caddy master, the golf professional, and the assistant named Brian) our group made the quick decision not to return and I made the decision to throw away the membership package their general manager had given me. If playing this great course. Please pay the caddies outside of the Pro Shop. There seems to be a lot of stealing of caddie pay being done through the Pro Shop! |

The golf course is a true golf experience. Well thoughtout strategies designed into each hole, as well as each shot. Architect Tom Doak is one of the young stars of golf course architecture. Doaks work will in time be classic, however, his work carries that "been there forever" feel which can only be translated by a hand ful of todays designers. Customer Service The intent is unparalleled The level of service is second to none. The attitude of staff is another story. The course was a blast. The fairways are wide but if you miss the dune grass is a bear. The greens are difficult but fun. They are true, and the pin is moved daily. The tees are really nice, a few of them have a great view. Similar Products Used: The food was great and the pro shop every thing a pro shop should have. |
