Shoots in the 90s
Great course and good price after 3pm. Play here almost every weekend. Only negative is customer service. It is like great product and bad sales team. Customer Service sucks!! |

Shoots in the 80s
Played on July 1st, 2009. Very poor weather day. Rain, fog and wind greeted our foursome on the first tee. Decided to give it a try and proceeded to play the front nine. Course was soaked, probably should not have allowed golfers on the course. Weather conditions became worse as we progressed. More rain, fog thickened and thunder became a contant companion . Made the smart decision to call it a day and get rainchecks for the group. BIG SURPRISE, Wachusetts does not give rain checks unless THEY decide to close down the course. Imagine our frustration as we tried, to no avail, to reach some type of agreement with the Pro Shop staff. I have since tried to reach the Director of Golf on two seperate occasions but he has not responded. We will NEVER play this course again. I hope this review will cause others to consider that same course of action. Customer Service Seemed like a nice course. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Must not need the business. Hard to believe in this tough economic climate. |

Shoots in the 100s
It is early in the season (mid April) so the conditions weren't too lush. The course is hilly and mostly open. They talk in the yardage guide that there are trees protecting both sides often, but the fairways are generally quite wide anyways. The yardage guide is outdated and inacurate and there are not enough yardage markers. Occasionally there are 150 yard markers, and there are some sprinkler head markers. Generally, the long holes aren't so long (downhill) and the short holes aren't so short (uphill). The greens are generally large and quick with some good slopes. There is water on one hole, and a creek or two. The sand is minimal. Customer Service No starter today, and only a couple of young men at desk. They could sure use some maintenance and improvement of cart paths. |

Fun course. Probably the best bargain in the state. Good variety of holes, excellent condition. Most holes are pretty wide open with great Ross greens and chipping areas. Customer Service Good |

Shoot in the 80s
A great New England course, with mild hills, beautiful views, old trees. Designed by Donald Ross with all of his signature touches: Trouble (read: dead) behind most greens, medium to wide fairways, rough and hazards punish bad shots (bogey will be work), run-up areas to most greens, and ends with a Par 3. The back 9 is substantially harder than the front. I've broken 40 on the front a dozen times and still shot in the 80's. Of course, the back is hillier and longer so maybe I am just out of shape. The course is almost always in great condition, but call to see if they've aerated the greens recently because they do so without warning and then don't discount the fees. Also, plan on spending a while there, a typical weekend round approaches 5 hours. Just relax and enjoy the view. Customer Service Tee-times were very easy to make and cancel. Similar Products Used: Restaurant food is mediocre, but the beer is cold. |
