First time visitor on a beautiful October afternoon. Expected more than we got. We enjoy Truro as the best links course around. Course and greens in great shape, especially for a muni. But few memorable holes and not all that different from anywhere else. More target holes than links. Plus it does not work well for the infrequent visitor. Several par 5 without a "distance to hazard" guide, resulting in unnecessary layups.

Very nice course. Course was well kept and with the multiple tee box options, the layout is very forgiving for the occasional golfer. The website specifies no alcohol, but there was a beverage cart with beer and (suprisingly) a good selection of hard alcohol. The only issue we had (and it was a big one) was that we waited a while on about 15 of the 18 holes. They either need to space their tee times out a bit, or the ranger, (who was very friendly) needs to do a better job of moving certain groups along. They also could do a better job with signage. It was our first time playing this course and were completely lost on two occasions trying to figure out where the next tee box was.

played the course today but will not be back not due to the course its self the reason being we had 5 winter greens in the first 12 holes but we were not told before start of play would have played somewhere else as anyone would have in asking for a refund we were told no chance but then offered 7 pounds off our 27 we payed, im afaird it was not the money that was the issue.

Customer Service

poor after all surely they must tell you before you start that some greens are off.

I agree with all other posts that this is a fabulous and fun course to play, I don't think its too difficult though, I would prefer it were a bit longer. Most holes its driver, sand wedge into the green - Par 5's are great! The greens are lightning fast. A decent club house would be nice.

Excellent design, layout & conditions. Greens are the fastest in area. I love the mix of links style on front & woods on the back. A true gem & must play.

Fantastic course - perhaps the toughest first three starting holes in the area. Difficult to turn first tee ball from right to left but is necessary to have a chance at reaching the green in two. 2nd hole should be the signature hole with long grasses difining a wide landing area and an angled green proteted by water and a bunker that both run the length of the green. A long iron is typically need to carry both those hazards. Wind plays a big part on this course as one day to the next can make a 4 club difference depending on direction. Conditions are always superb. Greens are very subtle and can fool anyone. This is a "golfers" course that encourages walking by offering lower rates. Hard to believe this is a municipal course after you play it. You can play here 3-times a week for the price of one round at comparable courses in the area, ie Shaker, Pinehills, Waverly Oaks. And all of those force you to pay for the cart whether you use it or not. Only downside is the presence of netting on the tees on holes 1 and 6 due to neighbor's demands - creates an eyesore as well as a distraction.

Customer Service

Staff here is phenominal - Holly (club Pro) puts on wonderful tournaments throughout the season and the rest of the staff is helpful without being pushy.

What an absolutely fabulous golf course. A thoughtfully designed Scottish links style course with high grass, water, undulations, and of course, wind. The tees are nicely designed and are set up for all levels of players. The greens are fast and as true as can be. I loved playing the course and will play it many more times in the future. I can't find anything wrong here other than the fact that I wish it were closer to my house.

Customer Service

Very golfer friendly.

Very enjoyable course layout. The tee shots are very foregiving, providing room for error.
