the 5th hole is most challaging hole on the coures par (5) 600+yrds dog leg, Playing mid week is a plus 9$ for 9holes

Some of their par(4)'s are way to short, I'm ussally need a Sand wedge or less for the approach shot, driving the green is not uncommon at western md golf course, It their is a dry season durring the summer the only parts of the golf course that recive water is the greens the fair ways are like a drive way (hard)

It's a nice coures over all, provides and intermeadate challage, with a great view of mountains of western maryland out in the distance.

Lots of variation in relief (very little flat land) which can be challenging.

Course maintenance is very inconsistant. Bare spots in fairways, SLOW greens. Rough is patchy and ungroomed. There is no fringe on any of the greens. Bunkers are solid and ungroomed.

This is a short 9-hole course, with a lot of hills. Very challenging to a high handicapper but relatively uninteresting to those with low handicaps. The course is generally plagued by slow play. The maintenance of the course is inconsistent. Very few hazards with little to no OB. In my opinion a little pricey for what you get. Overall a decent practice course.
