Shoots in the 80s
The course is excellent, however, you will meet some players are so upset of others. You may be reported to the office becuase you play a little slow, driving the cart a little fast, and many more. The office seems to listen all the smoking guns. I suggest the management of redgate.. if there is a rule, then write it out. Let people know before they play. Players pay their $$$$, they should enjoy the course but not shotting each others. |

This course really is a fun challenge. Length is not really a concern, although holes 8 and 9 play to about 425-450 yards (despite the shorter lengths reported on the scorecard). You will need every club in the bag. There really is a good balance of easy, moderate, and difficult holes, and this is why often my scores range from 2-8 on this course. The 4th holes is one of the tougher par 5s in the county (you can hit one or more of three water hazards, plus you have to traverse a challenging hill and oftentimes a blind shot to the green - good luck). The par 5 16th hole is no slice of cake either (some say it is harder than the 4th)! There are many hills on this course, but you usually do not need to guess where you have to hit it on many shots - the layout is self-explanatory. And the greens: lightening fast does not even began to describe it. They are as fast as they come. On hole #3, you can tap a putt from the top of the green, and if the greens are dry, that SOB will run down off front of the green and down the fairway (and it doesn't even look like that steep a slope). Also watch for tricky greens on #7, #8, #9, and #17. Customer Service Not bad. Similar Products Used: the putting green is misleading - the really greens are much slicker. |

Shoot in the 90s
This is a short, but very hilly course. It's amazing that they fit this place in the crowded surroundings. This is an excellent municipal course and I would play it over Northwest Park or Needwood if you're in the area. I try and play this course as much as I can because it really tests all skills. They've also update their tee time policy. You can call one week ahead for 18 every Monday. Similar Products Used: no woods on range |
