Straightfoward, mature course with lovely tree lined fairways. No tricks, just hit your best shot and you will be rewarded. No two holes are similar.

Conditions can be less than optimal due to intense play by the membership. Bunkers are inconsistent and some holes, particularly the first par three on the white nine and the first par five on the red nine are just plain weak. Low handicap golfers will find certain holes set up to aid speed of play, and will engage in amateur golf architecture as they can easily imagine how the course could be improved with more traps, better tee placement and more length.

HuntValley is a traditional straightforward tree lined layout with wide fairways and large greens. The course requires a variety of shot making skills and makes good use of the natural terrain with a elevation changes, ponds and streams to test your game. No two holes are similar. The rough is usually kept at a moderate length. The course is a fair test for almost all skill levels. Solid play will be rewarded, though Low single digit handicaps may find it less challenging than modern day championship courses. The the high handicapper will not feel not unduly punished.

this golf course is perfect in every way. there is no way any of those other crap courses compare to it. pebble beach is more like poop beach compared to this. it is the best ever.
