Shoots in the 90s
Joined Hayfields last year and had a thoroughly wonderful time learning the course. It does take a couple rounds to figure out the best way to attack several holes. The course is well maintained and pace of play has never been a problem. If you are going to play from the tips make sure you can carry 240+. Not required on every hole, but it's a must on #18. Customer Service Cordial and speedy. Similar Products Used: The entire campus is gorgeous and is continually being improved. Driving range tees take a beating but there is plenty of room. The putting and chipping greens are located inside of an old stone barnyard wall. Charming! |

I am told that this course grows on you the more you play it. It still has some growing to do. Many holes are designed with a links effect- standing on the tee, you are not quite sure where to hit the ball. Some find that charming, others, not. The 1st and 10th are weak, short par 4's and they ought to blow up and start over with the 18th. Hubert Green got that right. Similar Products Used: Lovely renovations of old farm buildings create understated elegance. Excellent practice facility. |

Shoot in the 80s
I recently played the course on a 95 degree day. The tees, fairways and greens were in great shape. The traps which have been recently rebuilt are challenging and numerous - and is soft and fluffy. The roughs are still very playable - thin in some spots, but fair to thos of us who stray from the fairway on a regular basis. The greens roll true. For some reason they play a bit slower than they look. Similar Products Used: Facilities are great. Staff is very helpful. |
