Shoots in the 90s

Twin Lakes course at New Cut is a challenging short course with tree lined fairways and water hazards coming into play on 4 holes. Tee shots must be straight and accurate to avoid the trees lining the fairways on 5 of the 9 holes. While the course is mostly par 3's (only 3 holes are designated par 4's, no par 5's) the course still plays long and has ample opportunity to break out the Driver. The greens play average to fast, and are well kept (aside from the occasional goose droppings from the geese that hang around the lakes!) The signature hole is No. 6, which is a short par 3 with nothing between the tee box and the green but a huge lake. Hit the ball too long here and it's into the woods. Hole 9 features a dogleg left that you can carry with a Driver or 3 wood, if you dare try to hit it over the trees. Try to lay up, but if you overpower it, there is a nice bunker waiting for you. Accuracy is a must!

Customer Service

The people here are very friendly and the pro shop is comfortable. There is a lounge, and they serve snacks and beverages. They also boast a custom club fitting shop (by appointment only). There is a driving range, chipping green, and putting green as well. The prices are a little steep though. I've played municipal courses with similar layouts for a much lower price, but without all the ameneties available here.
