Freaknasty bathrooms. I can't pinpoint it, but it just doesn't feel right.

Whoever wrote the other review has only played 5 courses in the state of kentucky because this is NOT a top 5 course. I will agree about the bathrooms. They were NASTY!!! If you gotta pee, just let it splash on the course. It'll be more sanitary. Now, the conditions were pretty good(except bunkers). The layout is interesting and quite fun. The back 9 was poorly designed(merely because of the last 3 holes). I felt like I was done after 15, and then played 3 "extra" holes.

The fairways have a pretty good stand of grass.They seed them every year. For the first 6 years they re-seeded ryegrass. Now, they are converting to Kentucky Bluegrass. The f-ways are beautiful! The greens are pretty fast. I'd guess they vary from an 8' to an 11' on the meter. If fellow golfers would repair ball divots, greens would be flawless!

The green on hole #2 has major dead spots from around the green and fringe.It is thought that a tree root is running under the green and stealing water from the bentgrass. If they fix this problem next year, this would be a definate birdy hole! Hole #16 needs proper drainage throughout the whole hole.The housing developement adjascent to the course ran there storm drainage right out in the middle of the fairway. So the whole fairway is completely soaked and completely cart-path only! The worst thing about this hole is you either hit left and leave yourself behind a huge sycamore; or you can hit straight or right and leave your ball atleast half covered in mud/ water! the rough is a little high at the first of the week but after it gets mowed once it nice! If you golf here on monday thru wednsday and you miss the fairway by a yard or two, don't be surprised if you can't find your ball! Their rough stays thick and lush!

Most of the turf is in great shape. The only thing that holds this course back would be the sand-traps. The bunker drainage was not properly designed so the sand has mixed with the soil and clay over the years. There is even some large grade rock in them... If they renovated the sand-traps, I see no reason why Maywood G.C. couldn't be ranked among the top 10 perhaps even the top 5 in the state of KY!!!

Fair! Not a very big selection of food but they have a nice pro shop. They offer very quality rental clubs. And they sell the hottest equipment on the market!
