Short course by most players standards but the small undulating greens keep it a challenge. The bigger challenge though may be putting up with the lack of course management by the staff. No attempt is made to pair individuals, golfers go off randomly as singles, 2somes, 3somes, 4somes and 5somes, no rhyme or reason; this during prime morning hours on the weekends.
I don’t think I’ve seen a marshal more than a time or two and I’ve never seen them do anything other than ride around.
That all said, it is worth playing but pack a lunch, it will be a long round of golf.

Customer Service

Customer service folks are friendly but untrained in golf course management. Control of tee times, groupings and pace of play would go a long way in improving the play at Painted Hills.

Fun and playable. But could stand a little TLC from the grounds crew most of the time. The short length yet small greens offer every level of player a chance to go low.
