Vinton Country Club is a typical small town course. 1 Par 5, 6 par 4's and 2 par 3's. No sand traps. Small pond between hole # 4 and 5 but rarely a problem unless you pull the ball. Fun to play, not too challenging. #2, dog leg left par 5 is the toughest hole on the course.

Variety. Each hole is different.

Cost. A Vinton membership costs the same as some 18-hole courses in the Twin Cities that are much more challenging and scenic. The membership fee is an absolute joke, considering Vinton is a 9-hole course that's not challenging, has no driving range, no rangers, and too many scheduled events that prevent members from playing on weeknights and weekends.

Vinton has a lot of variety for its 9 holes. The course is not challenging, but fun to play. Unfortunately, flooding usually has #2 closed, as well as the bring-your-own-balls driving range.
