Shoots in the 70s
I have played this golf course twice. I got owned the first time. The second time I played pretty below average from tee to green but had an otherworldly day on the greens. Shot 80 with 22 putts. This course is just magnificent. It makes me want to move to evansville just to join. The course is quite visually intimidating. I did not play from the tips mostly because my playing partners were not interested, and seriously wanted to better enjoy myself. If you get the chance to play it, do not, I repeat do not pass it up. Amazing from tee to green and also the greens were excellent. Not incredibly large greens by square footage, but by no means a negative. I plan on playing in august and I am very excited. The par 3s are absolutely amazing. As I remember they required 3 perfect 5 irons and one well placed 7 iron uphill to a tiny green. Really there is nothing negative about the course. Absolutely stunning and kudos to the guys who get to play it every day. That is a treat Customer Service perfect |

Victoria National Golf Course
One of the picturesque courses I have ever played. The bentgrass fairways are like carpet. The manicuring of this course compares to that of a course prepared for a PGA event; first and second cuts as defined as I have ever seen. I have played many, many top 50 courses in the US and in my opinion none compare to VNGC for shear beauty and difficulty. I would not be suprised to see this course hosting a major PGA tournament soon. It would be interesting to see how the pros score from the tips at VNGC. Every hole is mentally challenging; every hole...not just six or seven. VNGC is one of those places on this earth that will make you stop in your round and emoitionally appreciate the beauty of nature...then your caddy will hand you your club and say "Mr Thompson, it's your shot". Anyone who can break 80 from the tips the first time played is a "real golfer". If you ever get a chance to play this course; walk it with a caddy; it will without a doubt be one of the greatest golf experiences you have ever had. Customer Service The staff make it obvious they are there to ensure you have the best experience possible. The chef prepared an exceptional dinner!! This a pure golf club, no pool, no tennis courts...stricly golf and excellent food. Similar Products Used: I have played; Mediah #3, Bellrive, PGA West, Sawgrass, Valhalla, the Ocean Course, Olympia Fields, Hazeltine, Kohler courses and many more and from a strictly course point of view; none compare to Victoria National. |

I played here and although it is a beautiful course, it is just too hard to enjoy. It makes a good golfer feel average. The staff in the golf shop and dining room were incredibly nice people. The parking is very restricted for larger events. Customer Service Very nice staff in golf shop, snack bar could be friendlier. Dining room and bar staff were great. Similar Products Used: Locker room is awesome from what I could see. This was closed and off-limits when I played. Had to just peek in through window. |
