Great course and typical RTJ course. Well bunkered and undulated greens. In really good shape and multiple tees for all skill levels. Hard to find a flat lie. Really nice country club.

Interesting layout, very high risk/reward factor on this course. Tour pros who have played here have shot in the mid-60s to the low 70s - one tour pro shot 71 with 5 birdies and an eagle. Well-conditioned course. Excellent greens.

Long hitter will only use driver 7 to 9 times here - at the most. Yardage book is a must to navigate Crystal Tree.

Crystal Tree is a RTJjr facility in Orland Park, IL. A great experience playing it for the first time, because the shots needed to get around are so varied - leg left, right, uphill, downhill, etc. Getting a flat lie is almost impossible. There are five par 5s and five par 3s, making for an unusual setup. All but one of the par 5s are reachable in two for the longer hitter, however, be warned that when you miss a green on this course the penalty can be greater than at most other facilities. Most every shot will fall far from the green when missing, and CT will force you to hit more 30 to 50 yard bunker shots than you ever wanted to hit in your life. Going low is very possible, as is going very high. Club pros have been known to shoot in the mid/high 60s one round and then high 70s the next round. Great course to play if you have the chance.
