Shoots in the 90s
Kemper Lakes is probably the best conditioned course I have played in years (it will be a private club in 2007), and at a greens fee of $145, it should be. (I went with a friend who had a couple of free passes.) The fact that the course held a major championship should attest to its difficulty, but it's definitely not Medinah difficult. The holes that everyone knows about are the island green par 3 (#17) and #18 (dogleg left with water everywhere), but I think the 2 best holes on the course are #11 (par 5 cut through the trees to a wide, narrow green protected by a pond) and #12 (uphill par 4 with a very tight, tree lined fairway).
Customer Service As one would expect, the service was top of the line, but the pro shop was a lot smaller than I expected. Similar Products Used: George Dunne National |

Shoot in the 90s
Course was in impressive condition. Played the week after a senior open (not recommended for the average golfer). Tees and fairways were well kept. Greens were fairly challenging and fast. Many hole layouts forced target golf to a degree without being overly difficult. GPS carts a nice plus. Very good course, but not necessarily worth the fee. Similar Products Used: None |
