The strengths of the course are many but esp. the conditions of the greens and the tees and the fairways. It is a very challenging course. The greens are fairly challenging as well. The undulations make 3 putts a definate possibility.

Tough uneven lies due to the rolling hills of the course. This is not a weakness simply part oof the beauty of the course.

I have been a member of Highland Country for 2 years and have enjoyed every moment or it. The staff and members are extremely friendly and courteous. The pros, Jay and Brad, make the visit even more enjoyable. The food is excellent with the chili being nearly as good as my father-in-laws. You must have a bowl of it.
The golf course is extremely well maintained and very challenging. The front nine is the old part of the course and we actually have our own road hole, #4 par five, dogleg left then right. The only water on the front 9 is the occasional sprinkler. The entire course is hilly and it is sometimes difficult to find a flat lie but I'll tell you the truth, my game has progressed rapidly because of the challenge it provides. The back nine is just as picturesque as the front with I-471 providing a nice back drop for several holes. Number 11 is a long par 5 with water on the approach shot. I have tried several times to reach it in 2 but if you go directly for the pin you may get wet as I have most times. Your best bet is to go to the left of the pin and pop it out of the sand. Number 16 is the long par 5 that requires a nice long second shot. My choice is a 3 wood. It is definately a parable hole. What a feeling when you do!
My advice-join the club, enjoy the company, enjoy the chili and especially the lovely golf course.

Customer Service

Members can usually come up and simply play since the club is not over booked at any time. Walking is exceptional since the course is registered with the National Audabon Society (sp?). The birds and wildlife are abundant.
