Shoots in the 80s
This is an amazing course set in the wheat/barley/potato fields surrounding Ashton, Idaho. The course is generally short - a few long holes - with incredible views of the Tetons on many. The shade is provided by a beautiful grove of Aspens - hence the name. It's an old family homestead so many of the old farm buildings are still standing and used as part of the course. There is a great area for picnicking and a really beautiful - tho rugged - RV park (basic amenities - electricity - laundry facilities - water - but restrooms are minimal at best.) In short it's a great little course and a lot of fun for the whole family. Customer Service It's family-owned and operated and generally staffed by local teens. That said - it's casual - fun - relaxed - friendly. |

O.K., objectivly this course is fun to take the kids to. If you find yourself in Ashton, ID and feel the need to golf; you better not be expecting much more than a pasture with flags sticking out of the ground. That being said, Aspen Acres is decent for what it is. Green fees are somewhere around $5. You might pull out the driver on one of the holes. Other than that, it''s a pretty short course. Like I said, great to take the kids to. I think that one of the holes is like 50 yards. Customer Service If you are at a course like this expecting customer service, you better high-tail it back to California. You won''t notice them. Don''t mind them and they won''t mind you. |
