Beautiful scenery and design - some of the best designers around: Palmer, Hills, Fazio, etc. There is a course for any way you feel during that day.

Courses that don't realize their potential. With the backing and resources that the club has, these courses should be world-class. Decisions are made by a board of older people who are not in touch with a golfing community that would better the whole.

The Landings is a first-rate golfing "community" with 6 courses. The courses are all very nice and present a challenge for any golfer. The club is private, so it could be hard to play the courses, but if you do get the opportunity, you should have an enjoyable experiance. One drawback is that the community has changed drastically over the last 20 years. Along with the addition of nice courses has come increased infiltration from retirees and hack golfers. This is a first-club and although the courses are always in good shape, they could be world-class courses - the Landings board has never made this happen. Of the 6, my favorite course is Palmetto, and then Deer Creek and Plantation after that. I like Palmetto as a course, however, the latter two offer better greens (ie, firmer). The number of older players has attributed to generally slower greens and overall reduction of course potential.
