Robert Trent Jones jr course. It's a nice course, but very little elevation. Par 3 on 17 is a nice challeng. There are five holes that are good, the rest are members golf and very forgiving. In a round you will have to hit 8 shots, the remaining you can just hit.it is a vey good 6 iron only course. One clubber. You can use a driver, but not necessary. There is one green about 3 feet wide and 25 yards long, it's perfect, the rest could have a rock concert.
Shot an 83, putter felt like a broken stick all day long. Also greens are like putty, if you land they will stick so bomb away with any club. Pin locations today were mixed, but half were bowled to draw into cup, which is great for irons, tough on putter. Checked it off list and most likely will not go back, its a boring one night stand, I could call, but I won't, and she does not expect me to. You could play this course for your life and never find its secrets, because it has none.

Customer Service

It's in the top ten ten in Atlanta. Played the back nine with a Marshall. He had a big ole stogie and could crush the driver. Everyone was friendly and professional. He knew all yardarges and was free with knowledge. Funny thing it did not matter. First time score will be last time score, no hidden tricks here. Cart girl was nice, too chatty, but nice.

We went on a weekend golf trip to Atlanta and played Woodmont. The course was in excellent condition and the course was challenging. It was a great round of golf. We will certainly play this course again.

Customer Service

Everyone was nice and friendly. The course rangers enforced the pace of play but in a friendly manner.

I played this course a couple of weeks ago (beginning of March) and was pretty impressed. Besides the wind gusting to 25-30 mph it was a very nice day and a great course. Being from AL, I am familiar w/ RTJ designed courses and Woodmont did not let me down. Like the reviewer below stated, the course has a several tee boxes allowing players of all levels to enjoy there round. The layout of the course, clubhouse, driving range, and surrounding neighborhood is great. It's hard to sum up an entire course in a single review, but the course is very appeasing to the eye. The greens were overseeded so they were nice and green but the fairways werent and the course still looked great, so I cant wait to go back when everything turns green again. The greens were very quick that day. It was a sunny, windy day so that dried them out some, but if you didnt watch it what seemed to be an easy put would end up off the green. Long irons were hard to stop on the greens also. Everyone was very nice and helpful. My group had a 12:30 tee time but were running a little late. They said no problem. Regular weekend price is around 80 bucks, but since we were teeing off after one we got the twilight special, which wasn't programmed into their computers yet, so the pro gave us the super twilight special only costing us 30 dollars instead of the 80 if we had been on time, which was O.K with me.

Customer Service

Excellent. Even though I was from out of town and young they treated me like an old member.

Very nice daily fee course that is extremely well maintained. Only Robert Trent Jones course in Georgia to my knowledge. A number of different tees to make this an enjoyable round for any skill player.

Customer Service

Fantastic. They really seem to want you to enjoy yourself and do what it takes to get return business. I had a cart die on me and after pushing it up a hill on the 9th they gave me a free return rou

Woodmont is a fantastic course set in the rolling hills north of Atlanta. It is not a typical development course since it is not routed through houses but is self contained within the outer ring of homes. The course is beautifully manicured and always well maintained. While a stern test of golf it is also a very fair course. Bunkers are about average in number but superior in consistancy and the beautiful white sand used. Many of the green are bowl shaped which can aid and frustrate the golfer depending on pin location. They have GPS on the carts and just recently open the fairways to 90 degree travel.
