Haven''t played there in a while, but last time (about 6 years ago), it was the pits! We had a 1:30 pm tee time in December, and didn''t get out until 3:00! Turns out that management had scheduled tee times every 4 (yes, FOUR) minutes! Naturally, this caused massive delays. Course management was oblivious to complaints--"If you don''t like it, go somewhere else!" Unless they have new management or have changed their policies, I''d avoid Summerfield like the plague.

Variety of holes. Always maintained well, especially considering the amount of play.

Lots of houses can be visually distracting.

One of my regular courses. Summerfield is an interesting hodge-podge of styles, with the front nine being a links course, characterized by lots of undulations in the fairway, few, if any trees, well-placed fairway bunkers, and open, inviting greens that you want to roll the ball up to. The back nine gets a little more like a traditional Florida course, and has some really fun holes. Not spectacular, but a place that I would bring anyone (except maybe a scratch golfer, who might get bored) knowing that they would enjoy their round. A good bargain. If you have a decent game, you must play from the back tees, or you'll be hitting driver/wedge all day. From the back it's much more rewarding.
