Interesting mix of holes, good pace, priced right.

Yardages are VERY poorly marked.

The front is the easiest 9 holes in CT. Mostly wide open, short holes. The back is among the most difficult in CT. Long, tight holes with sloped fairways. Plenty of severly undulating greens throughout.

Ridiculous bunkers. Nearly every hole has a bunker in front of the greeen, regardless if the typical approach shot requires a 4-iron or PW. The greens are too severely sloped. Too bad because it is a beautiful piece of land. It seems like the architect is into tricking up holes for no reason, surprised I did not see any windmills.

Not a fun course. Having played both Topstone and Rolling Meadow, I wonder if the architect even plays golf.

The back nine are somewhat challanging for people. On the 10th hole you dont want to hit it over because they slope down after the green and can leave you with a difficult shot if you land it in the wrong place. The par five's are good also, on some of them you cant see the pin because of hills, but all you have to do is hit a nice long straigt hit on the left or right side of the tee and you should be fine.

Par three's are extremely easy. Want a hole in one? Try this place because their are a few holes that will give you a good chance.

I enjoy this course alot. The difficulty is not to easy or hard. The maintenence at this course i would consider one of the best. I always see that everything is kept up and their are never any problems. The greens are in great shape, no divits or nothing. The tee condition I would say is good, always in good shape when i go to play their. Unlike some places that i go to and the tee's are practically dirt, these always have grass on them.

Tee times here are usually easy to get. Most of the time you can call the same day and get a tee time around 10:00am.
