I played San Dimas last Monday using a coupon for $25 w/cart and very good gps. I found the golf experience above average. Starter was pleasant and we got on on time. Out threesome was not pushed from behind or stalled up front. The front nine plays in a relatively flat part of the canyon while tha back is steeper and hillier. Fairways and greens were in good condition. The course is very scenic--we played throu a small herd of der grazing on the 15th fairway. I look forward to playing again.

Customer Service

Although we didn't use it, at about the eighth hole the gps asks if we want to order from the grill. Sw at least two marshalls out working the course. Both were pleasant.

Another American Golf horror story. Despite this being a fun layout, and having much potential, American Golf once again is trying to extract as much money out of a course as possible. Course conditions are poor at best, the service is subpar, prices are too high for what you get, and there are too many golfers out at once making for slow play.

A decent "canyon" type of course. But, it's run by American Golf ! On the weekend, slow play and fivesomes are common. I'm surprised they don't start charging for parking ! Play during the week if you possibly can.

The Nov. issue of Golf Digest claims they have changed the name of this course to Slo Dimas. If you didn't have to wait 38 min. for each hole this might be a 1/2 decent course. It's too bad they book a fivesome every 3 minutes to tee off and then you have hackers who hit off the blue tees and can't even pass the red tees. Those guys should be dropping their pants as they walk the fairways.

Overall a slow course with nice views of dirt and trees.
They even want your credit card # when you book a time and threaten to charge you if you fail to cancel.

The Bottom Line: don't go there unless you are guaranteed to be the only group on the course.

Nice hidden gem. Kind of hard to find, but worth the effort. American golf keeps it in pretty good shape. Interesting holes calls for accuracy over distance. Greens are a challenge (typical of a mountain course). Nice vistas. This course has a little of everything, hitting over water and barranca. Sharp dog legs. Fun track. Not terribly difficult, but trouble lurks at just about every hole. Great promos.
