This is a very nice course, it is pretty well maintaned with fast greens and cut fairways. This is one of the most dificult courses ive played but also one of my favorites. The fairways are very small so accuracy is more important than distance on this course.

Design and conditioning. Nice break from a long drive down (or up)Highway 101.

No complaints about anything, really. Just a fun, well thought out golf course here. I mean, it ain't Pebble Beach as far as the scenery, but I never really noticed.

I played here about two years ago on the way to San Diego. I was impressed with the design, which someone obviously spent a lot of time thinking about. It is a course which requires a strategy for each hole as far as where and how far to hit it off the tee. You dont just bang it as hard as you can. Conditioning also very good. No spectacular views or anything like that, just good, tough but fair, golf. If you truly understand the effect of the subtleties of good golf course design, you will appreciate this one

Consistent green speeds and green difficulty. Right in the middle scale of being open in the fairways. It is very much a "thinkers" golf course.

It's not in my backyard.

This is one sweet, supervalue of a golf course. I play this course any time I visit California and I'm never disappointed. It is very well maitained and nicely manacured. It is both challenging and rewarding. It meanders through agriculture land and presents some spectacular views.

Nice range!

The layout is great. The greens are superb. Some fairways are wide enough for errant drives and other fairways are narrow enough to cause anxiety. The holes have a variety of distances and I know that I used every club in my bag (which I appreciate). Course knowledge is important for several holes as 11 and 15 can cause a score to balloon. Clubhouse staff is friendly and courteous. The "Amen Corner" is a great stretch of holes and the back to back par fives is a unique touch.

The only place to get food/refreshments is at the turn. The practice area near 15 has flags that make it confusing to know the hole location (unless you have course knowledge).

Great course and a "must play" in Central California. From the layout to the lush fairways to the ultra fast greens, this course is one of the best that I have played in the state. While the fairways and bunkers were in great shape, the tees were a little worn as I played after there had been rain for 2 days. However, I think the tee condition was more of an aberation for a few holes rather than the norm for most of the holes. This is the 2nd time that I have played the course and I don't remember the 200/150 yard markers when I played it last year, but that addition is a great help whether you have the yardage book or not.

Golf shop was stocked well and stayed open well past dark. Food and drink in the restuarant was quite good and also had no problems staying after it got dark.

The greens are very speedy and challenging. It makes you think your way around the course. Very well taken care of. It doesn't get a ton of play so the speed of play was very enjoyable.

Fog in the morning.

This was a very nice course. Every hole was a challenge and had a great view from the tees. The key here was the tee shot. It doesn't play too long, but it definitely punishes for poor tee-balls. The fairways were in great shape and cut pretty tight. It made me play every club in my bag, which I love. You definitely need course knowledge because if you want to score well, you need to be in exactly the right spots on the fairways and greens. The greens were the toughest part of this course for me. You had to be in the perfect position to score. They are big and many of them are two-teared, so knowlegde and position is the key.
