green fees too high

Played the south course on the 10/7/03. It is a very nice layout. The course is in excellent condition and makes it a must play. Very nice views of the ocean.

Several difficult carries from tee to fairway. Excellent conditions and some tight holes. Beautiful ocean views.

Almost none.... because I played for $99 ..... I can't complain about the price. However I would have paid the high $$$$ for such a fine course. The one weakness was that there was no beverage/refreshment service on the course because of the earlier rain and the limited number of players on the course. And you do not return to the clubhouse area when finishing #9 and teeing it up for #10.

Played on the last Monday in Febuary, 2001. It had rained, and rained, and rained for several days. However, the rain ended at 1:30 p.m. and I teed off at 2 p.m. at the $99 twilight rate. Played the South Course. The course had drained well, very little standing water remained. Everything about the course was perfectly manicured and green (due to 8 to 10 inches of rain in the past 30 to 45 days). A couple of sand traps needed a little work due to the excessive rain. Had to play with "carts on path only". Very few players on the course. Played in 3 hours and 30 minutes. Can't wait to go back and play the north course.

Two amazing courses (to go with the shocking Green Fees). I have heard "Pebble Beach" of Southern California, and although I wouldn't go that far, it is as close as we get in So Cal. They were certainly thinking Pebble when they set the green fees. I have only played the south course, which starts in the hills and works towards the bluffs over the ocean. The layout is long and difficult, although strangely, the two ocean holes are short par 3's crammed into the land. Be sure to look backwards and say "how did they put a golf course here?". If you can make 18 holes at the $99 twilight rate, then you have a real bargain.
