Waste of money and time. Course was in really bad shape. Total lack of care even the fairways were either long and over grown or litterly playing off hard pact DIRT. Yes I said fairways of dirt.

THE PRICE IS A DEFFINATE STRENGTH FOR THE COURSE = $35 W/CART WEEKEND & $29 WEEKDAY W/CART. THE COURSE IS LOCATED OUTSIDE OF CITY. SLOW PLAY HAS NOT COME INTO PLAY IN THE 8 OR 9 TIMES I HAVE PLAYED THE COURSE. I HAVE NEVER BOOKED A TEE TIME AND HAVE ALWAYS GONE RIGHT TO THE 1ST TEE AFTER CHECKING IN WITH THE STARTER. THIS IS THE COURSE'S BEST ASSET BESIDES IT'S BEAUTIFUL MOUNTAIN SCENERY AND CASCADING HILLTOPS. IT'S OTHER STRENGTHS ARE IT'S GREENS, WHICH HAVE ALWAYS BEEN IN TOP SHAPE AND ARE SUPRISINGLY UNDULATING ON CERTAIN HOLES.

POOR LAYOUT FOR SOME HOLES. A FEW FEW BLIND TEE SHOTS. SEEMINGLY THE 16TH AND 17TH ARE THE WORST HOLES ON THE COURSE. THE 16TH IS A PAR 4 WHICH THE FAIRWAY IS ON THE SIDE OF A HILL FOR AT LEAST 260 YRDS AND THEN IT OPENS UP TO A GREEN ANOTHER 150 YRDS AWAY GUARDED BY A HUGE OAK TREE RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE GREEN. THE 17TH IS A 160 YRD PAR 3 WITH A ROW OF TREE'S FROM TEEBOX TO GREEN THAT HAVE YOU LOOKING DOWN A TUNNEL TO THE FLAG. YOUR ONLY OPTION IS A PUNCH UNDER THE TREES OR TO GET IT IN THE AIR IMMEDIATLEY AND AIR IT OUT THE WHOLE 160 YRDS OVER THE TREE-TOPS TO THE GREEN. THE COURSE ALSO HAS NO CART GIRL BUT DOES HAVE JUGGED WATER ON EVERY HOLE AND THERE IS A SNACKBAR/RESURAUNT BETWEEN THE 9TH AND 10TH TEE.

COURSE IS UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP AS OF 2002. THE OLD BARN HAS BEEN REMOVED FROM THE 9TH HOLE, THE POND ADJACENT TO THE 5TH HAS BEEN CLEARED OUT, FAIRWAYS ARE LOOKING GREENER THAN IN 2001" AND THE GREENS ARE IN GREAT SHAPE. GREAT PUTTING GREENS FAST AND SMOOTH, I WAS ABLE TO PUT UP MY BEST PUTTING ROUND EVER A FEW WEEKS BACK.

Tree lined holes as well as open fairways makes the layout different. Changes in elevation allows a player to produce different shot types and causes the golfer to think very carefully about club selection. Reachable par 5s were made difficult with smallish greens.

Most of the greens are quite small and make approach shots near impossible for most mid-handicappers to hit in regulation. Six par 3s; longer par 3s on the front side and shorter ones on the back. For the most part, it appears as if the trees encircle the greens on 16 and 17.

Played the day after Thanksgiving 2001. This is not your typical golf course. Up in the mountain/hills between Lancaster and Valencia, this course haphazardly winds it way through homes and has holes that seemingly go straight up (#4) and straight down (#5). From some history found about the course, it was previously a nine hole course, which definitely explains the overall course layout and trying to make use of some area to create holes. Unfortunately, you get what you pay for. Low priced course that doesn''t have enough carts to service a high demand golf outing day. Altitude and lack of rain made a lot of the fairways brown (greens were in good shape).
