Shoots in the 80s
Enjoyable course. Very good condition. All kinds of holes - water, length, doglegs, narrow, testy par 3s, more elevation changes than you expect from surrounding area. Several memorable holes, esp. 18. Great driving range. Easy to find in Irvine. Not the same backdrop scenery as other area canyon or ocean courses, and not really a course to make a special trip to play, but worth trying if you're in the area. Would play again. I absolutely fell in love with this course. Fairways and greens were in excellent shape. Was never stuck waiting for group ahead. Course challenging, but not excessively. My new favorite course. Customer Service Excellent customer service. |

Before the course was there, it was a flat orange grove. There were no oaks and certainly no creeks. So Tom Fazio didn't have much to work with. He moved a lot of dirt, planted a lot of plants and put in some pumping systems. To me, the course looks like a Disneyland ride - attractive, interesting, perfect in its own way, but completely contrived. I much prefer the more natural layout of the nearby Strawberry Farms. |

Solid course that is always in great shape. I always leave this course feeling like I should have scored better as it is harder than it looks. Only knock is that they appear to have cut back on on-course marshalls and speed of play has gotten very slow during summer months. Customer Service usually pretty good Similar Products Used: I enjoy the practice facility although it is getting pretty crowded these days. Probably a result of fewer comparable facilities in the area. |

Very challenging course from the 1st hole's long par 5 to the 18th's dogleg left par 4. Lots of water to get caught up in, as well as an abundance of fairway- and green-side bunkers just waiting to catch your ball. Fairways are always in perfect condition, greens vary from time to time. Lots of rough, but most fairways favor a fade (except the 5th, 6th, 9th, and about the same number on the back nine). All in all, great course for your money (twilight rate is $80, while super twilight is $40) Customer Service Pro shop personel are very helpful, range shop guys are great to chat with Similar Products Used: Practice range is a great grass hitting range, and with the incoming El Nino again this winter (2002), the entire place will be green again. |

Shoot in the 70s
A nice solid layout. Not easy, but not punishing either. The course is usually in excellent condition. There is a little bit of everything on this course. It is expensive, although the cost is in line with the upscale Orange County courses. I am not sure why, but this course tends to play a bit faster than its neighbor courses. Very enjoyable.
