Good to very good for a municipal course. Typically very busy, but if you go early on a weekday this is great golf value. Though most like Los Lagos, I much prefer Mesa Linda. Customer Service Good but not great Similar Products Used: San Clemente municipal |

I'll do Mesa Linda a favor and write an "updated" review of Costy! I'm preety sure the other reviews about Costa Mesa are fairly old. This is a perfect course for all types of players, good or bad. Greens in awesome shape and value is great. The rude guy starter must not work there anymore cause the guy i deal with is a nice guy. He ain't a kiss your butt and be your best friend guy but he is cool. During the week I walk on at 9am with no problem and get a round in, in 4.5 hours. Its a par 70, 5538 yards. Obviously that is less yards than most but it makes up for itself with small "postage stamp" size greens. Also the slopes and bumps on the greens make them very fun and challenging. It will give your ego a boost and give you a challenge enough to gain some confidence! Have Fun! Customer Service Just Fine. Cool staff. Similar Products Used: ElDorado, Big Rec |

Mesa Linda is a gem for the beginner to intermediate player wanting a true golf experience. The los lagos course is better suited to the better ball striker with some nice elevation cahnges (not too dramatic). Over the years this has become a staple OC pub course. The starter has always been like that. Customer Service As good as the players paying for rounds. Similar Products Used: Mesa Verde, Big Canyon, Newport, Riverview(big props) and others in the area |

Played this course 7/1/07. Best value for your money. Greens are in good shape. Course gets plenty of play. Long round, it took over 5 hrs to finish on the weekend. Similar Products Used: Mesa linda is the other course. Shorter, but greens are undulating. |

Hard to get a tee time with the starter, usually i get a late tee time on the weekend and the play is really slow here, typical weekend play. good flat course with ok fairways and nice greens. i like this course and will play here again |

Costa Mesa is the best deal in Orange County for the money. Many agree that it has some of nicest greens in Orange County. The previous reviewers may be right about the starters, but the course gets alot of traffic and is still in pretty good shape. |

Nice course for the money, but play was way too slow. Long wait for turns at most of the tees. The starter put everybody out almost at the same time. He's also an irritating smart-alex type guy who knew how to ruin your day before you start. The green lacks maintenance but overall its a nice course. Driving range is great and so is the overall facilities. Would get a higher rating if starter (guy who collected our money for green fees were better trained and less annoying). Customer Service Poor. |

The green is in bad shape. Fairways are OK. Played on 10/24/03 (Friday) afternoon Play is slow and took almost 5 hours. The starter is a jerk. He's very rude and gave the first time players at Costa Mesa in our group a bad impression of the establishment. Customer Service Very poor customer service when paying for green fees. The starter is rude and therefore doing a disservice to players as well as his employer. The other pro staff are courteous and helpful. |
