I have played here well over 100 times. It is a semi-private course, so you have to be a member or a guest of the Hyatt. The Arroyo-Lakes combo is the must play, as the Dunes is a joke for may serious player. The Lakes has two great risk/reward par 5s. PLay in winter as the greens and fairways are better- the summer sun kills a lot of the grass.

Customer Service

Depends on who you get- some are great, some are indifferent.

Water holes on the Lakes course and some bunker placements on the Dunes course.

Hole distances seemed to be incorrect and the Dunes course lacked an appealing character besides the bunkers and some forced carries.

Good resort course that I played on Monday 6/18.

Course was in good condition for the resort in mid-June. There were some well-used tee boxes and the fairways had more than its share of brown spots. Only played the Lakes and Dunes course as the Arroyo course was closed.

The Dunes was the easier of the courses; however, we did not have the yardage book/course guide for that set of nines and it was very difficult to know exactly where you were heading. The holes appeared to play longer than the stated distances.

The Lakes had a better flow to the holes as the difficulty of the holes were generally after each par three. The water added to the difficulty factor and made for rewarding shotmaking or not.

Customer Service

Didn't receive the complimentary yardage book until after the first nine (maybe the cart help had been too baked by the morning sun). There wasn't enough accessible drinking water on the course. Coffee shop didn't open until 11 a.m. and the continental breakfast wasn't a good option for a meal before the round.
