Played the Gold Course in the morning... my initial reaction upon driving up to the course was that it was well-maintained and it lived up to that expectation.
Customer Service took a while to get our hot dogs in the diner, but worth the wait. if you like seasoned fries, make sure you order them as well! starter was a nice guy and so was everyone else. |

Played the Gold Course from the Monster tees which is 7400 yds with 2 pars over 600 yds and a par 3 of 275 yds. The course is extremely challenging with traps guarding the greens on both sides. the greens on some of the longer holes are small and not easy to hold. Most of the holes require some thinking and strategy for each shot. Robert Trent Jones, Sr designed the course which has traps along the fairways on many holes requiring either a layup or placement of your shot. The course is in great condition. Customer Service The service was excellent. Similar Products Used: McCormick Ranch palm and Pine Courses and the San Marcos Golf Resort. |

BLUE Course: February 28, 2008; Course in great condition from Tee Box, Fairway and Greens. Par 70, Par 4's on back nine short. Bunkers takes driver out of your hand. Hit Hybrid and Wedge on several holes.
Customer Service Check in smooth, staff friendly. First rate without stuffiness. Similar Products Used: Played Arrowhead--over rated and over priced. Wigwam much better deal!! |

I was extremely disappointed with this course. I played the Red course in May. The condition of the course was terrible. There are many courses in the Valley that cost half as much and are in better condition. It felt like I was playing on a municipal course. The carts are old and in bad condition and their were bugs everywhere (constantly in your face when you're driving the cart).
Customer Service Didn't encounter too many people so can't really say many good or bad things. Similar Products Used: Stonecreek, Camelback, Orange Tree - (All similar in style but better) |

I had no intetion of writing a review, I was merely browsing when I stumbled upon Wigwams rating of one star and thought that it was unfair. This is an historical resort in the west valley that has 3 championship courses that are usually in fine condition. Of the 3 courses I prefer both the Gold and Red courses over the Blue ( The Blue is the only course previously reviewed here ). All 3 courses are parkland type with the Gold and Blue being very flat. The Blue is the shortest and nearly all of it's greens are small and elevated. All three courses have plenty of tree's to frame the fairways and knock down errant shots. The Gold was designed by Robert Trent Jr. which means runway tee's and plenty of doglegs to test you. If your vacationing in the area and you get tired of Desert target golf, give Wigwam a try, but be sure to request the Gold or Red course. Customer Service Very friendly and helpful staff |

I played Wigwam (Blue course) after playing We-Ko-Pa the day before. What a disappointment. The layout was boring and unchallenging. I realize there something to be said for history, but I personally prefer the desert courses. Customer Service fine, not great. |
