We played this course based on the photos on their website. What a mistake! The photos must have been taken twenty years ago. The maintenance was terrible. Large clumps of thick clover to lose your ball in, areas of hard pan and dirt for no apparent reason, etc. Not sure how often they mow but it was very shaggy. Sure it was cheap but save your money and play the nearby Robson Ranch for the same price.

Customer Service

Saw a cart girl once during the round.

Always a favourite and the prices are always terrific. Course is fair and lots of room to pull out the Big Dog. Lots of mature trees add to a good feel. THe perimeter of the course is undeveloped and impairs the feel somewhat. Course is always in good condition but the sprinkling often affects play, even in the morning. Driving range is the weakness in this facility. I will always play here.

Customer Service

Always good.

Long for sure..wide open for most part but with some huge mature trees, rare for this area. The greens were mostly smallish and rolled true if a bit slow the two times I went. The hole variety is a solid 8 of 10. The fellas in my group like it moreso than I . Always easily found at bargain prices versus Phoenix or Tucson.

We just got back from Francisco Grande and we were happy with the golf course and condition, the greens were modestly fast and the fariways allowed ample roll, bunkers have excellent sand, hte only thing that we would say could be improved is that the course seemed to be getting a lot of water and the surrounds were somewhat soggy. All in all, we enjoyed our stay.

Customer Service

Staff and management ot Francisco Grande make the place a must stay. Price was excellent and the staff didn't continually have their hands out for tips, which made us want to tip. The bigger, fancier resorts could learn a thing or two from Francisco Grande in the service department.

Ok, if you've heard about this course, I apologize for whatever great pre-conceived notion you have about it. This is NOT a course to go out of your way to play. In fact, other courses in the immediate area offer better golf at a better price. Now, if you're looking for something to take away from this course, by all means, play it from the back tees. You'll remember something alright... "how many times DID I hit my second shot with a wood?" Yep, this here beast is looong. Even for looong players. How does 7,400 yards treat your driver? Other than the great lenght incorporated here, you're going to soon forget the course. It's boring. It's got the old school "up and down" style, with few variations save the par threes. If you're looking for a very cheap "golf getaway" with a resort, you'll be happy with it. The accomodations and greens fees prices do justice for the type of stay you'll receive. If you're looking just for a good round of golf, you'ld be best served to stay away and look elsewhere.

This course is more an 'old style' course. Bunkers come into play, and some water. The conditioning of the greens needs improvement, and the layout lacks a little 'pizazz'. You won't remember much about this course after playing it.

Of the courses in the area, this one seems to lack a little in value, unless you are one for 'wall-to-wall' green -- other courses in the area don't have as much grass.

The tees are generally kept in good condition, and the driving range and practice facilities are more complete than other courses in this area.
