Absolutely a gem. Ranks up there in the top 2 courses I have ever played (Old Waverly). Great Pete Dye design. Great scenic views. Wildlife abundant. The azailias behind the 18th green remind you of Augusta. In my opinion the best course in Alabama. You can play the ball as it lies. Perfect fairways, Tees, and greens. This is how golf is suppossed to be played.

Simply the best course I have ever played.

Most every hole is unique, and isolated (tree-lined).

Two drivable par fours (6 and 15) but you better be accurate.

Dramatic elevation changes -- 14 of the 18 tee boxes are elevated. Frequent side-hill, up-hill, down-hill lies, even in the middle of the fairways.

Par three, number eight, "in bloom" is as beautiful a golf hole as anywhere on this planet.

This course is always in perfect condition, even in winter. Greens are true and fast (bentgrass).

Some water, many well placed bunkers, a zillion trees.

With your A game you can score well ... if not, bring lot's of balls.
