This course is a mess right now. It is privately owned country club. The greens are DEAD, all green are temp right now.
Something happened to the greens that no one wants to talk about. Course is ok when green were good bentgrass, now the place sucks and is losing members like crazy

There is not similar to GV right now, Roebuck Golf Course is in better shape and it a muni course.

This course has a average layout.
The greens are slow as molasses and suck with poanna grass on the greens, which sucks in the south. Do not waste your money!!!!
The owners (two both name joe) are not putting any money back into the golf course. They both live on the course and don't care if the members resign. They rather the course becomes public.

This golf course is one of my favorite. It can be demanding, yet it is still a fun course for the bogey golfer. My lowest round on this course was an 87. They have a professional and courteous staff and the course is in top notch shape most of the time(exceptions:airating the greens). The pro shop is stocked very well with the latest in golf technology. The cost for 18 holes and a cart is about $42 and well worth it. I strongly suggest playing this course if you are in the area.
