Tour Edge Exotics Drivers

DESCRIPTION

Constructed from 15-3-3-3 Beta Titanium, this technology allows more weight to be placed in the sole for remarkable forgiveness and a perfect launch angle. Utilizing Combo-Brazing process, the elimination of welding results in a deeper, lower center of gravity (c.g.) for unprecedented performance and a smooth, velvety feel. The forged titanium face puts out a explosive power.

Model Reviewed: This year's exotics driver, 12degree, reg flex

After wearing out my old Nickent driver, this year I began to look for a replacement. On the advise of a good golfer and friend, I purchased a Mizuno and although I could work it right to left and left to right with ease, I hated the sound of it at impact. My brother found a great deal on the new Exotics, 2010 model, so I tried it for the Memorial Day weekend and slap dab fell in love with it. Although I can't work it right to left as easy as drivers in the past, I've learned I don't need to. I can fade it at will and when I crank on it, it goes long and straight. I've actually hit the longest drives of my entire life with this driver. At impact, in the sweet spot, there's very little sound, but man does it scoot. I've found it to be the easiest driver to hit accurately that I've ever played. Thanks Bro.

I've tried the Bazooka brand with Exotics, but although it was equally simple to hit straight shots, there was no comparison to the length of the Exotics primo brand. Go Exotics!

Model Reviewed: Tour Edge Exotics 10.5 w/YS R-flex

Every so often it pays to play left-handed. Recently, ProShopWarehouse was dumping these on ebay with the Graphite Design YS shaft in regular flex. I guess that particular shaft did not appeal to the big hitters. But for an old, weak guy like me, it was a perfect fit. And winning a NEW driver for less than $40 made it even better.

I've had two sessions at the range with this driver and it is a cannon! I've already decided that it is going to displace the Tour Edge 10* Carbon driver that is currently in my bag. My swing speed is around 85 to 90 MPH, and I have a rather limited backswing. At the range I was consistently driving the ball 10 to 20 yards further than the Carbon. While I can't really gauge distance at the range (I swear the markers are off and/or the Top Flite range balls are dead), I DO know that when I played the Carbon with a 'real' golf ball I'd usually hit it about 220 yards and 250 if I nailed one.

What really impresses me about the Exotics driver is how it feels when I hit it on the sweet spot. It makes the sharp titanium 'ping', all right, but the feel is almost 'cushy'! It seems like the ball is on the face for a very long time. And then it just takes off on a perfect mid-height trajectory. The roll-out is not shabby, either. Now I have to admit that some of the drives I hit faded a bit more than I would like. But that was hitting into a breeze coming toward me and from the right, which is going to promote a fade for a left-handed golfer. When I did get the clubhead to come around properly my drives were dead straight.

I am REALLY looking forward to taking this driver out to the course!

I have tried WAY too many drivers to list. In addition to the TE Carbon, I do have an original Nickent 3DX driver that shows promise. (I'm going to replace the Aldila NV shaft with a YS-6.)

Model Reviewed: TEE Driver

Been playing with 10*.5 TEE/Adila NV 65-g R flex and like it a lot, real fairway finder. Wanted to try TEE XLD due to excellent reviews, eBayed 10.5* TEE XLD/66-g X-quad R flex, played 2 rounds with it. Same distance but ball dispersion not as good, put back on eBay to find new owner... Gone now. So I thought of 2 possibilities (1) 12* TEE / Adila 65-g R flex or (2) 10.5* TEE / 55-g Fuji R flex. eBayed 2nd option and been playing 8 rounds with it, really really like this combination, at least as long as my 10.5* TEE but ball dispersion is even tighter. Since I hit this club so well, I am very comfortable with it and I think I hit harder without afraid of losing control, so I gain 5-10 yds max (not more because I hit both of the TEE drivers quite straight). TEE XLD is also good, but it's too loud for my taste. So I am pleased to have 2 TEEs, same head different shafts, that fit me very well. Right now the lighter shaft is my primary and 65-g NV shafted club is secondary

Changed stk shaft to 47 in. stiff Graphite design. Really worth the $'s to up-grade shaft. Use this and the new Cobra L5V with Diamana Up-grade 47" Both are very long but this one is not quite as forgiving as the Cobra. Still love it.

Played 2 summers now with TE Exotic 9 degree. Replaced the NV shaft this summer with the Graf Epic....made a big diff for me....I tend to hit drives to high...the higher kickpoint brought me down & increased yardage. Tung screw came out so I returned to TE and they replaced entire head for free....great warranty...wasn't even the original shaft and they backed their warranty. I've tried many drivers and this is the first one to last 2 seasons in my bag...love the looks ... feel...sound....and distance....would recomend....i hit a long fade....used to be a slice....I swing about 80% for most consistent resuslts...

This club is very pricey. This has a very hot face the only club that comes close to it is the G-10 (ping). I have the aldila VS proto shaft. The club face is 2 deg open. If you have a good smooth swing, you will be pounding the ball 270 and up. The only problem with this club is you are always waiting for your partners to hit, because they are 30 yards behind you. this club is very very long. You get a lot of roll. the club face is smooth with fake lines on it.

Another impulse buy after reading the reviews and the fact that this club is long. I am not a long hitter and can finally admit it when playing with good players bombing it 70 yards past my 210... That's what happens when you never take lessons and develop bad habits.

So I figure if I can get 10 yards, my ego will be boosted and who knows...

First round I hit a number really well but a few slices, which a more pronounced then usual. Some improvement, but still not 100% convinced. By the third time, I had the game of my life and playing a shorter course and the added length I was in unchartered territory with approaches of 70-110 yards from the fairways. 1 bad drive and some 250.

Until I see otherwise, I am sold.

This club is not very forgiving. The stock shaft is not good. I had high expectations after reading the reviews but I found the club too hard to hit to fully take advantage of its potential. Maybe a club for the lower handicapper.

Great driver. Came with a Aldila Green NV stiff shaft and trajectory was a bit high. Replaced the shaft with a stiff Graffaloy Pro Launch Red and now this driver ROCKS! Mid pierceing trajectory. End Result: Both shafts made a long driver, but the replacement shaft made it a monster.
